The purpose of this role is to work with the Supply Management Quality group to improve the global quality signature and performance for the selected suppliers by reducing the number of supplier escapes and OEM interventions through the deployment of various initiatives.
What will your day‑to‑day look like?
Review, understand and identify issues and contributors impacting product quality and flow.
Identify required corrective actions and improvement opportunities and drive change in a timely manner.
Analyse data to understand contributors and systemic issues causing product escapes and OEM interventions.
Engage suppliers in defining and deploying the required actions and strategies to eliminate escapes and interventions.
Steer the team through analysis, prioritisation, events organisation and other phases.
Close actions and achieve expected results.
Follow up and report on progress.
Address roadblocks and escalated issues as needed.
Organise and lead process walks or other relevant activities at supplier facilities.
Drive process maturity towards repeatability and stability.
Liaise with internal organisations to ensure required support.
Establish required communications with stakeholders (CAB, business reviews, EMM).
What do you need to be successful?
Technical degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years’ experience.
Field of study: manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, quality.
Assets:
Bilingual French/English.
Knowledge of SAP and other business systems.
Experience with PFMEA/DFMEA techniques and PPAP.
Experience using Six Sigma or other continuous improvement approaches.
