The Opportunity

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee‑owned company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Technologist to join our team in Vancouver.

In this role you will be responsible for leading technical aspects of roadway, highway, airport, bridge, intersection and interchange design, as well as supporting site inspections and contract administration.

What You’ll Do

Provide technical and drafting support using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including working with survey, LiDAR and GIS datasets.

Collaborate with engineers and other designers to produce drawings, figures, maps and data analysis for transportation and civil infrastructure projects.

Mentor and support Civil Technologists, Technicians, Designers and Engineers.

Support construction administration activities such as site inspection, sketches, as‑built updates and record drawings.

Qualifications

Diploma in Design/Drafting Technology from an accredited technical institution.

At least 2 years of progressive experience in computer‑aided drafting and design of transportation projects, preferably highways, roads and/or airports.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Experience with field work such as topographic survey and construction inspection is an asset.

Familiarity with BC MoTT Design Standards and TAC Geometric Design Guidelines is an asset.

Solid communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.





Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules.
