Role Overview
We are seeking a Temporary Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Contract Logistics team in Markham, Ontario through the end of October 2027. In this role you will support and maintain the Quality Management System at the local level within Distribution and/or Wholesaling units, ensuring compliance with cGMPs, corporate policies, client SOPs, and all applicable Health Canada regulations.
Responsibilities
Facilitate and execute implementation and compliance activities per cGMP, corporate policies, client SOPs, and regulatory requirements across all business and functional units.
Cascade existing and future QA/GxP requirements to and implement them at the site(s).
Assist Operations (Inbound, Returns, Destruction, etc.) where quality support is required.
Release and/or quarantine product in accordance with client or company instructions and regulatory requirements.
Inspect finished products and oversee product sampling for testing and retention per client or company needs.
Issue partner notifications and facilitate related activities.
Lead product complaint/inquiry requests, investigations, and trending.
Monitor temperature conditions of facilities, reviewing inbound product temperatures when applicable.
Facilitate and oversee preventative maintenance activities and maintain a list of qualified vendors.
Maintain site documentation control and records retention for all local forms, WIs, SOPs, and client‑specific documentation.
Review, sign off, and oversee QA records such as certificates of destruction, calibration records, sanitation, etc.
Monitor training and follow up with Operations as required.
Train QA Associate/Specialist/Intern positions as assigned.
Support Operations in maintaining the site training program and applicable documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sciences (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline).
3 years of industry experience in Medical Device/Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance.
2 years of industry experience in Medical Device/Pharmaceutical distribution operations.
2+ years in a contract logistics, distribution center, or 3PL environment.
2+ years working with an Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS).
Perks
Target salary range: $60,820.00 – $76,040.00. Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Individual pay may vary based on experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other business considerations.
