The Licensed Plumber is responsible for performing all or part of the following duties for the Centre for Research and Learning Tower (CRL) depending on the need of the job and as directed by the Facility Manager/Supervisor.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. The Hospital reserves the right to assign you to other areas and shifts as needed.

Here’s What You’ll Get to Do

Utilize all trade‑related tools, procedures and cutting openings for piping.

Install, repair and replace pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures.

Maintain the heating, potable water, special water, medical gases, suction, medical air, compressed air and drainage systems of the hospital.

Inspect,



adjust and verify that equipment is operating to specifications as part of our preventative maintenance program.

Here’s What You’ll Need

Graduate from a recognized plumbing apprentice program or equivalent education and experience.

Hold a Certificate of Qualification.

Have five years of institutional or industrial related experience, preferably in a health‑care environment.

Possess solid knowledge of plumbing equipment.

Be able to work as a member of a team.

Show good communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate fluency, both verbal and written, in English.

Exhibit good problem‑solving abilities and flexibility.

Commit to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion.

LEED/EBOM Certification and/or training considered an asset.

Steamfitter/Pipefitter experience will be an asset.
