Midland Transport is currently seeking a Senior Project Specialist- Planning in Dieppe, NB. The Planning Lead is an operations focused role within the Transformation Program. As the subject matter expert in planning capabilities, you will lead the end‑to‑end deployment of planning solutions across the terminal network. This role ensures that planning processes, tools, and workflows are effectively transitioned from the build environment into live operations-enabling terminals to adopt and utilize recent planning capabilities with confidence, consistency, and minimal disruption.

The Planning Lead (Transition) develops deep expertise in the future‑state planning model and translates that knowledge into practical deployment activities: terminal readiness assessments, user validation, process alignment, and go‑live support. The Planning Lead will ensure that each terminal deployment delivers operationally sound planning outcomes that reflect real‑world terminal conditions.

This role works in close partnership with the Transition Lead, Terminal Power Users, Product Owners, Business Architects, Training, Change Management, and terminal operations teams to ensure planning deployments are coordinated, sequenced, and supported-driving adoption, building operational capability, and accelerating value realization across the network.

Responsibilities

Act as the planning subject matter expert, building and transferring expertise in future‑state planning capabilities to terminal teams.

Lead end‑to‑end deployment of planning processes and solutions, from readiness through go‑live and stabilization.

Assess terminal readiness across people, process, data,



and technology; identify gaps and drive remediation.

Onboard and enable Power Users to support testing, deployment, and adoption at each terminal.

Support user acceptance testing and validation to ensure readiness and confidence before cutover.

Collaborate with product, business, and solution teams to ensure planning solutions reflect real operational needs.

Monitor adoption and performance post‑deployment, addressing issues and reporting insights to leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

5–8 years of experience in transportation, logistics operations, or supply chain management within LTL, freight, or distribution environments.

APICS CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent supply chain/logistics certification considered an asset; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Proven experience with planning processes such as load planning, route optimization, capacity management, or shipment sequencing in an operational setting.

Demonstrated ability to deploy or implement new processes, tools, or systems across multiple operational sites

Experience working within Agile, hybrid, or phased delivery models in enterprise transformation or technology implementation programs.

Deep operational knowledge of planning processes within a terminal‑based transportation or logistics environment

Strong ability to translate future‑state solution design into practical, terminal‑ready deployment activities.

Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging terminal leadership, frontline supervisors, and program stakeholders with clarity and credibility
