Job Description

We are seeking Family Physicians to join our collegial primary care community in the beautiful town of Port Hope. With upcoming retirements, physicians have the rare chance to assume well-managed, long-standing practices, in modern bright, well-equipped clinics.

Physicians may choose clinic-only work or combine it with hospital services atNorthumberland Hills Hospital , located 10 minutes east in Cobourg. NHH offers a wide range of acute, post-acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services. These include emergency and ICU care, medical/surgical services, obstetrics, palliative care, rehabilitation, mental health care, chemotherapy, dialysis, and extensive ambulatory clinics. Advanced diagnostics—including MRI, CT, and mammography—are also available onsite, supported through strong regional partnerships.





Port Hope is n estled along the Ganaraska River,on the shores of Lake Ontario, just one hour east of Toronto . While Port Hope itself has a population of 17,000, it serves a larger west Northumberland catchment that includes Cobourg and the surrounding townships. Port Hope is a picturesque and historic town known for its beautifully preserved architecture, vibrant arts culture, and welcoming community spirit.
