Job Summary
Cogency Inc. is seeking a skilled React JS Frontend Developer to build modern, responsive, and high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in React, frontend architecture, and UI performance optimization, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React JS

Build reusable, scalable, and high-quality UI components

Implement state management and optimize application performance

Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs

Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and QA teams

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices

Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX issues and performance bottlenecks

Contribute to UI/UX improvements and frontend architecture decisions

Maintain clean, well-documented,



and testable code

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in frontend development

Strong hands-on experience with React JS (components, hooks, lifecycle)

Experience with state management (Redux, Context API, or similar)

Experience integrating RESTful APIs

Strong understanding of responsive design and UI best practices

Experience with Git or similar version control systems

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with TypeScript

Familiarity with contemporary frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.)

Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Work Model

Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite in Calgary

In-person interview is mandatory in Calgary or Montreal
