We are hiring on behalf of our client, a successful family‑owned commercial real estate organization with a diversified portfolio of operating businesses (not just real estate). They are seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial management across multiple entities.

Salary: $75K to $90,000 annually (with flexibility for candidates holding a CPA Canada designation)

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, audits, and compliance reporting.
Maintain accurate financial records and oversee internal controls.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
Manage month‑end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Oversee bookkeeping functions including AP, AR, payroll, tax filings,



and government reporting.
Identify cost‑saving prospects and provide financial recommendations.
Analyze tax implications and ensure timely filings.
Report financial insights to ownership and senior leadership.
Maintain relationships with external accountants, auditors, lenders, and insurance partners.

Qualifications
Minimum five years in accounting.
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Yardi, and QuickBooks.
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems.
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
