Your New Role
Lead and oversee all ground control engineering activities to ensure safe and stable underground excavations.
Provide technical guidance and daily support for Ground Control and Seismic Risk Management programs.
Assess geomechanical risks and contribute to mine sequencing, design, and execution planning.
Support mine planning activities, including reserve stewardship, ground support design, and life-of-mine planning.
Utilize geotechnical analysis and rock mechanics modelling tools to evaluate mine performance and ground conditions.
Mentor and develop a team of technical professionals while driving continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Skilled Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
Minimum 8 years of experience in underground mining technical services or a related environment.
Strong understanding of underground mine design, mining methods, and ground control practices.
Experience with geotechnical analysis tools and engineering software; exposure to Deswik and rock mechanics modelling platforms is considered an asset.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder management skills within a mining operation.
