Responsibilities

Working within a cross-functional team of Developers, Business and Product Owners, and technical experts to understand requirements that drive the design and implementation of technical solutions

Work with architecture groups on design proposals, development, and maintenance of applications

Address technical issues on projects; pro-actively engaging project team and clients with concerns

Ability to quickly ramp up on and apply new technologies and processes

Primarily focused on strategy, problem solving and challenging our solution engineers to build amazing products and services.

Ensuring products are well maintained by identifying and eliminating technical debt.

Ability to showcase progress in projects/initiatives/programs, holding people accountable to their commitments and making sure we are on track for successful delivery.

Participating in design discussions focused on building the best customer experience,

Design and implementation of best practices/processes.

Assisting in architectural solution designs, roadmaps and related strategies that are aligned to Enterprise Standards in the effort to modernization software applications.

Present and leverage technical information and solutions in a way that establishes trust relationships, persuades stakeholders and achieves understanding and consensus at all levels.





Assess and analyze business strategy & requirements, the current technical environment and technology options to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business needs and bank strategy.

Participating in planning and review sessions.

Partner with multiple teams across the bank to collaborate on strategy and direction.

Assisting senior management to enforce standards and methodology; ensuring solutions are in line with the technology roadmap and mentoring the technical team members on a project to project basis.

Candidate Requirements / Nice To Have Skills

3-5 years of banking/financial industry experience as an overall Delivery Lead or Project/Program Manager is an asset.

Previous development background or software engineering (full stack) experience with object oriented programming & scripting languages.

Hands‑on technical working experience in modernizing legacy systems or similar transformational initiatives is a robust preference.

Strong technical background, ability to read code, provide feedback, knowledge of software design patterns.

JIRA / Confluence experience.

Previous banking or financial industries experience, retail banking preferred.

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
