As a professional in this position, you will ensure that all firefighting and rescue equipment is in prime condition. You’ll engage in a range of mechanical work, including troubleshooting electrical systems and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles. Reporting directly to the EVT Branch Captain, your expertise will significantly impact the overall safety and efficiency of firefighting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overhaul and repair firefighting equipment and vehicles
• Conduct necessary inspections and maintenance procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly
• Use diagnostic tools for vehicle and equipment performance
• Complete detailed service logs for all maintenance activities
Requirements:
• High school graduation or equivalent
• Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement
• Certification as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic or equivalent
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Experienced with safety protocols and repair techniques
