Overview
Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.
The Analyst, Business Systems will be based in Toronto and report to the Manager, Information Technology. The Analyst is pivotal in documenting business requirements, designing, developing and supporting business applications. The Analyst will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure that solutions are robust, scalable and aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, developers and technical teams to identify, document, as well as manage business requirements and specifications
Ensure business requirements are complete, correct, consistent, concise and achievable, securing sign‑off from business owners
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with business users to determine optimal solutions for business and system needs
Set stakeholder expectations appropriately and effectively communicate complex concepts to non‑technical audiences
Design, configure, as well as deploy custom applications and automated workflows
Ensure solutions are efficient, compliant and meet business objectives
Act as a subject matter expert for Dynamics CRM and Charles River Private Markets (CRPM) applications and their integrations, including data synchronization,
error resolution and process optimization
Collaborate with CRPM teams to ensure accurate data mapping, timely refreshes and alignment with investment management workflows
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting and guidance on business applications
Design, develop and deploy comprehensive reports using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, insightful visualization and actionable analytics
Utilize advanced reporting techniques to translate complex business requirements into clear, interactive dashboards and reports
Develop and maintain technical documentation, training guides and FAQs
Integrate organizational change management practices into training and adoption strategies to ensure smooth transitions and high user engagement
Work effectively with cross‑functional teams to foster collaboration and drive results
Qualifications
Over five years of experience as an Analyst, Business Systems
Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent
Able to work independently with excellent organizational and priority management skills
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Sense of initiative,
entrepreneurial spirit
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Sales, Marketing, Customer Engagement modules) and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)
Experience with Charles River Private Markets or similar Investment Management systems, an asset
Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform (e.g., PL‑200, MB‑210, PL‑400), an asset
Experience with Business Central, an asset
Experience with Azure services (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, etc.)
Robust proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M) and data modelling concepts
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Design and maintain data pipelines using Fabric Pipelines
Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing principles
Best practices for governance and security for Power BI
Experience in agile methodologies and project management
English/French bilingualism, an asset
