This role involves caring for seniors in a non‑clinical, non‑institutional environment during overnight shifts on Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 7 AM. The successful candidate will provide compassion, safety and support to Community Members and respond to emergency calls.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Community Members with personal needs such as dressing, mobility, food service, bathing, laundry, etc.
Distribution/dispensing of all required medications and narcotics.
Conduct wellness assessments and monitor ongoing health of Community Members.
Adhere to the V!VA Service Culture Standards while bringing your natural personality to the position.
Actively participate in all training offered pre and post opening and seek opportunities to continue learning and to contribute to Making Today Outstanding every day for everyone.
Live the Orange Dot V!VA Values and drive excellence in customer service throughout the Community.
Qualifications
Must be licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Available for flexible hours of work weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Experience in a retirement residence and/or with seniors is an asset.
Current first aid and CPR certification.
Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with seniors.
Able to understand, articulate and live the V!VA Orange Dot Values.
Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English.
