Join Dutch Vet as a Data and AI Platform Engineer in Vancouver, Canada. This hybrid role focuses on enhancing data architecture and AI infrastructure in a rapid-paced setting.
In this individual contributor role, you'll split your time between managing the dbt and Snowflake platform and developing backend systems for LLM functionalities. This position requires strong technical leadership to mentor engineers and ensure high-quality standards in Python and CI/CD practices while reporting to the VP of Data & AI.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-own the dbt and Snowflake platform with 700+ models
• Isolate warehouse workloads to capture upstream data failures
• Build runtime guardrails for clinical AI applications




• Develop observability pipelines and cost-tracking tools
• Set technical standards and mentor team engineers
Requirements:
• 6+ years managing production data platforms with dbt
• Proficient in Python and software engineering fundamentals
• Experience with systems architecture and API contracts
• Solid instinct for managing cloud spend and data quality
• Mentorship skills to elevate peers' performance
