We are seeking an experienced Liferay Lead Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale digital experience solutions built on Liferay DXP.

This role combines architecture leadership, hands‑on technical expertise, client engagement, pre‑sales support, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design

- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Liferay DXP 7.4+ and latest quarterly releases. Define end-to-end solution architecture including:
- Digital Experience Platforms
- Customer Portals
- Partner Portals
- Employee Intranets
- Self‑Service Platforms
- B2B Commerce Solutions

- Create and review:

- High‑Level Designs (HLD)
- Low‑Level Designs (LLD)
- Solution Blueprints
- Integration Architectures
- Deployment Architectures

- Lead modernization initiatives:

- Legacy Portal to Liferay DXP
- Monolithic Applications to Microservices
- Traditional Portlets to Headless Architectures

- Conduct architecture reviews and establish development standards.

Liferay Platform Leadership

Lead implementation and governance of:

- Liferay DXP 7.4+
- OSGi Modular Development
- Service Builder
- Workflow Engine
- User & Permission Management
- Search & Indexing
- Content Management
- Experience Management
- Asset Framework
- Site Templates
- Segmentation & Personalization

Drive adoption of up-to-date Liferay capabilities including:

- Client Extensions
- Remote Apps
- Liferay Objects
- Experience Builder
- Fragments
- Headless APIs
- GraphQL APIs
- REST Builder
- OpenAPI Integrations





Experience with Liferay Commerce will be considered a strong asset.

Headless & Composable Architecture

Design and implement modern digital experiences using:

- React
- Angular
- Vue.js
- Next.js
- Headless CMS Architecture
- API‑First Design
- GraphQL
- Micro Frontends

Build composable enterprise solutions that integrate seamlessly with external platforms while leveraging Liferay as the central digital experience layer.

Cloud, DevOps & CI/CD

Architect and guide deployments on:

- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- Kubernetes
- Docker

Drive best practices around:

- CI/CD Pipelines
- GitHub Actions
- Jenkins
- GitLab CI/CD
- Infrastructure as Code
- High Availability
- Disaster Recovery
- Security & Compliance

Experience with Liferay Cloud, SaaS, or PaaS environments is highly desirable.

Enterprise Integrations

Design and implement integrations with:

- Salesforce
- Microsoft Dynamics
- SAP
- Oracle
- ServiceNow
- Payment Gateways
- Identity Providers
- Government Systems
- Third‑Party APIs

Experience with:

- OAuth2
- SAML
- OpenID Connect
- LDAP
- Keycloak
- Azure AD

Technical Leadership

- Act as primary technical advisor for enterprise customers.
- Lead technical discovery workshops.
- Mentor developers and technical leads.
- Conduct code reviews and architecture reviews.
- Define development standards and best practices.
- Support project estimations and solution proposals.
- Participate in pre‑sales activities and client presentations.





Required Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Master's degree is considered an asset.

Experience

- 10+ years of software development experience.
- 6+ years of Liferay experience.
- 3+ years in technical leadership or architecture roles.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise‑scale implementations.
