Executive Director – Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO) – Orillia

Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1993 delivering firearms safety training across Ontario on behalf of the Chief Firearms Officer of Ontario. The FSESO is an independent business with 250+ independent instructors who deliver the Canadian Firearms Safety course. The training program is governed, monitored and controlled through the FSESO who sets the standards, policy and procedures in keeping with RCMP mandates. The FSESO operates from its headquarters in Orillia and manages seven regions which encompass all of Ontario.

We are seeking an Executive Director who will lead the organization as an ambassador and manage all day-to-day operations as a passionate, hands-on leader with responsibility for facilitating all business functions, realizing the organizations stated mission and vision and ensuring it remains financially viable. You will create an open and positive environment while developing and strengthening partnerships with key government,



community and business stakeholders and the board of directors.

This position requires an energetic, qualified leader who is equally adept in being the key face of the organization as you are in rolling up your sleeves and growing the scalability of the entity from within. Previous general management experience is ideal including oversight of Human Resources, Finance, Program Planning, Community Relations, Advocacy and Fundraising.

The Executive Director will be required to work in office 5 days a week in Orillia Monday to Friday (no hybrid option). A base salary in the $125-150K range with additional bonus and perks is offered.
