Mechanical Estimator

Our client is a well-established and growing mechanical contractor specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of high-purity stainless steel process piping systems. They deliver complex projects across a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage, water treatment, automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, and other highly regulated environments.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their estimating team. This is an excellent prospect for someone looking to work on technically challenging projects while building a long-term career with a stable organization.

Responsibilities

As the Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical and process piping projects.

Key responsibilities include:
Prepare quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications.
Review tender documents, RFPs, contracts, and project specifications.
Develop complete project estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
Coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
Prepare,



review, and submit complete bid packages.
Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and post-bid meetings as required.
Support project handoff meetings to assist the operations team with planning and budgeting.
Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and bid documentation.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and the estimating team throughout the bidding process.

Compensation & Perks
Starting salary of up to $95,000 annually (based on experience)
Overtime paid at 1.5x after 44 hours per week
