Join as a Fellow in Public Health Ethics. Engage in critical normative research on ethical issues related to infectious diseases and resource allocation policies.
This post-doctoral fellowship is centered on exploring vital public health ethics challenges. Your primary focus will be conducting empirical research on the fair allocation of resources like vaccines, addressing individual rights in isolation and quarantine, and translating research into real-world decision-making during emergencies. You will work closely with experts at the Centre for Bioethics and interact with the Rotman Institute of Philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate ethical questions related to infectious diseases
• Research allocation of healthcare resources




• Evaluate individual versus societal health rights
• Facilitate translation of ethics research into practice
• Collaborate with various campus research units
Requirements:
• Doctorate in bioethics or relevant field required
• Experience in infectious disease ethics preferred
• Methodological expertise in ethical research necessary
• Ability to work on complex ethical topics
• Primarily in-person work, with remote options
