Reporting to the Chief Estimator, the Estimator will play a key role in the successful pursuit and execution of structural steel and bridge projects. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating project requirements, identifying risks, and supporting the development of competitive bids. This position offers the prospect to contribute to complex infrastructure projects while supporting strategic decision-making throughout the estimating process.

Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing drawings, specifications, addenda, and tender packages to determine project scope and requirements.
Preparing detailed quantity take-offs, labour calculations, and project cost estimates.
Developing and submitting proposals, quotations, bids, and supporting documentation.
Obtaining and evaluating pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
Identifying project risks, key cost drivers, and opportunities to improve project competitiveness.




Coordinating with purchasing, drafting, quality, legal, insurance, and project management teams throughout the estimating process.
Supporting project managers with cost analysis and estimating services as required.
Maintaining accurate estimating records, documentation, and historical cost data.
Participating in estimating meetings and providing updates on active opportunities.
Building and maintaining robust relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
Assisting with project planning activities, including scheduling and manpower forecasting.
Promoting and supporting a solid culture of safety across all aspects of the organization.
