Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company is searching for a Senior Model Risk & Validation Consultant to join its Enterprise Risk Management team. This role demands proficient quantitative modeling skills and experience in model validation and independent review. You will ensure compliance with OSFI Guideline E 23 by assessing model performance, assumptions, and governance standards while working autonomously.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct independent validation of enterprise models throughout their lifecycle
• Review assumptions, methodology, and data inputs for accuracy




• Assess exposure to model risk and governance arrangements
• Validate AI and machine learning models for bias and transparency
• Contribute to the Model Risk Management Framework and inventory
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Over six years of experience in model development or validation
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Experience with predictive and machine learning models
