As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to work in our Accounting & Finance Department and join our growing team at our Brampton office.

Responsibilities

- Prepare consolidated financial statements by analyzing data from the general ledger system and various departments.
- Maintain the fixed asset ledger, ensuring timely and accurate recording of asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
- Review and reconcile fixed asset sub‑ledger to the general ledger monthly.
- Maintain detailed documentation for asset additions, disposals, impairments, and revaluations.
- Prepare and support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes related to fixed assets.
- Handle day‑to‑day accounting activities including invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and month‑end closings.
- Perform full‑cycle bookkeeping including monthly accounting, GST/HST filings, and payroll processing.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for CRA audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.




- Develop and analyze financial reports using advanced spreadsheet tools to verify financial data.
- Prepare general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of financial statements and tax returns for compilation engagements.
- Evaluate internal accounting procedures and recommend process improvements.
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard company financial information.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation or active CPA candidate strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Workday (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Outlook .
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage 300 is a strong asset.
- Ability to manage a high volume of invoices and payments with efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and problem‑solving.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
