OverviewDirector, Enterprise Strategy role at Vancity. Lead the development of the enterprise strategy and annual business plan, collaborate with executive leadership, and monitor progress against plan. Reports to the Chief Strategy Officer. Hybrid work arrangement with in office expectations for events and business needs at the Vancouver head office.ResponsibilitiesOversee the annual strategy and business planning process with the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors; develop the annual and three-year strategic plans with internal partners including Finance and Communications.Manage critical strategic planning processes; align the three-year business plan to annual operating plans and budgets to implement strategies.Collaborate with cross-divisional leaders on the development and cascade of annual growth and operational plans.Continuously track progress of the strategic plan; develop monitoring tools such as dashboards to assess execution, KPIs, and key metrics to support continuous improvement and accountability.Implement monitoring tools and dashboards to gauge organization-wide progress on plan execution and performance metrics.Act as a thought partner and project liaison to proactively identify business issues, streamline strategy approaches, and share best practices.Facilitate regular strategy reviews with the ELT, identify potential issues, and propose data-driven solutions and alternatives.Leverage external expertise to strengthen Vancity’s business development function; evaluate and execute mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives, including financial, valuation, legal, and commercialization considerations.Research, analyze,



and recommend industry and technology trends; assess competitive threats and new business opportunities; develop projections andshare insights across the organization.QualificationsFormal education with a focus on business; a graduate degreeis preferred, or equivalent progressive experience.Several years of progressively senior-level leadership experience in a complex organization; experience in financialservices is an asset.Proven ability in strategic planning and execution with a strong business mindset.Experience leading and developing a capable team; strong leadershippractices for direct reports.Excellent cross-functional communication skills across all levels of the organization.Demonstrated experience using monitoring tools, dashboards, and analytics.You’ll Thrive Here If You AreAn exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to advise stakeholders at different levels.Organized with planning and coordination skills to develop operating plans and coordinate program delivery.A natural problem solver and decision-maker who assesses risks and determines viable solutions.A critical thinker who understands the big picture and ensures quality and accuracy of deliverables.Solutions-focused, adaptable to change,
