Summary
To coordinate the maintenance, repair and alteration of waste and water systems in assigned buildings.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Carry out day‑to‑day execution of operations and maintenance programs to ensure uninterrupted tenant operations and asset integrity (directly or via building automation systems).
Troubleshoot, analyze, and determine root causes of equipment and building problems.
Perform corrective maintenance and repairs within scope of key trade designation.
Respond to service requests, record data, and ensure completed work meets quality and response requirements.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance (PM) programmes to increase building operations efficiency.
Receive, track, monitor, and report status of maintenance and repair work; initiate documents to authorize or obtain formal approval of required work.
Ensure compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety.
Be available for shifts, on‑call/stand‑by and emergency call‑out as required.
Represent CBRE/AFSI in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations.
Oversee and maintain all assigned tools and arrange for calibration, inspection, repair and replacement when required.
Knowledge & Skills
Minimum 3–5 years experience as a certified/journeyman refrigeration technician.
Self‑motivated, willing to learn, works independently and as a team player.
Consistently presents a positive and professional image.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
Awareness of Environmental, Health & Safety requirements.
Licenses and Qualified Accreditation
Red Seal plumbing certification required; Gasfitter A or B preferred.
Must meet site and/or position‑specific security clearance requirements imposed by the client.
Valid driver’s licence (as required).
Supervision/Direction Exercised
Position does not provide direct supervision.
Provide escort, support, monitoring and review of vendor‑performed work.
Physical Assets / Information Management
May operate company‑issued vehicle in alignment with CBRE/AFSI policies.
Operate and maintain equipment and tools in alignment with CBRE/AFSI policies.
All applicable IT assets to be used in alignment with CBRE/AFSI policies.
Financial Resources
All financial decisions/purchases aligned with CBRE/AFSI policies.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports/transactions related to authorized expenditures.
Security Clearance
Candidate must attain and maintain a valid and active RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance (ERSC). Applicants must have lived in Canada for at least five years prior to applying.
