Responsibilities Performs vehicle inspections, troubleshooting and testing to determine required or recommended repairs
Accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs, including engine, mechanical and electrical system work, and parts replacement as required
Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
Verify vehicle serviceability and ensure quality repairs on the first attempt by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems as required
Ensure customer vehicles remain clean during the repair process
Contain costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options for repairs as required
Communicate with service advisor and/or dispatcher if additional work is needed
Aid service writer as needed to write work orders, conduct test rides, interact with the customer, or in any other way necessary to guarantee customer satisfaction
Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt of parts and supplies
Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized
Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order in accordance with standard operating procedures
Stay informed of automotive terminology and technology changes in the product
Follow attendance and punctuality standards and timekeeping procedures
Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
Follow all work rules and directions from Supervisors; uphold confidentiality policies
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policy
Attend relevant training and company meetings as required
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
310T Licence 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice
