Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Maintain and operate vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional manner.
- Drive 20–30% of the time; remaining time performing physical labor with hand tools, shovels, etc., outdoors and exposed to the elements.
- Coordinate and handle mechanical mechanisms to deliver emulsion.
- Pick up and transport goods, inventory, hazardous materials, and other cargo to intended destinations.
- Keep driving and delivery logs, confirm load contents match manifests, and track and report working hours.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and supplies to and from specified destinations, including overhead bin loading that requires fall protection.
- Operate mobile manufacturing units (MMUs) onsite at customer locations to create bulk products for blasting.
- Master the operation of Austin Powder bulk equipment to ensure consistent product quality and enhance customer experience.
- Complete pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements to the Location Manager.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements and company policies for the delivery of bulk and packaged explosives.
- Operate mobile manufacturing equipment, precisely controlling chemicals into the product.
- Apply a hands‑on approach to daily operation and maintenance of the Austin Powder location and customer sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

- Possess a valid Class‑A or Class‑B CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Work outside in all weather conditions.
- Liftophysical material up to 50lbs. regularly.
- Read, interpret, and regulate gauges to correct standards.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, product usage, and safety checks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems in the field.
- Have Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements (highly preferred).
- Meet all State and Federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive possessor.




- Unrestricted operation of manual transmissions is a plus.
- Work non‑traditional hours (early starts).
- Exhibit high attention to detail for accurate inventory record keeping.
- Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
- Follow written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
- Read and interpret safety rules, product bulletins, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Identify products by sight.
- Provide reliable transportation.

Education and Experience

- Be at least 21years of age as required by the Department of Transportation.
- Have a high‑school diploma or equivalent.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to the Location Manager for daily operations and, when on site at a customer’s location, takes instructions from the Blaster‑In‑Charge.

Work Workplace and Physical Demands

This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting and carrying approximately 50lbs., and performing a variety of hands‑on physical tasks using material‑handling equipment, safety gear, and hand tools.
