About the Role
This role focuses on team development, quality assurance through audits, driving productivity, managing budgets, and supporting hiring efforts. Ideal for a leader who thrives on mentoring staff and improving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead and provide technical direction to the team of Auto Claims Representatives.
Provide guidance, on‑job training, technical instructions, and leadership related to performance, productivity, personal conduct, and adherence to processes and corporate policies.
Conduct audits by reviewing claims files and delivering effective feedback.
Foster staff development through selection, performance evaluations, ongoing feedback, training opportunities, and communication of policy changes.
Coach and give performance feedback by reviewing reports, discussing options, and developing action plans.
Manage expenses and the annual operating budget for the team.
Initiate interviews for vacancies and recommend new hires.
Requirements
3-5 years of claims experience, focusing on direct handling of Auto claims.
1-2 years of supervisory experience.
Strong organizational, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
University degree from any discipline or a relevant two‑year college diploma with a CIP designation.
Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions with customers and co‑workers.
Ability to remain calm and think quickly under pressure; adaptable to change.
Robust customer‑interaction focus and proven performance‑management experience.
Natural coach and mentor.
Fluent bilingual in English and French is an asset.
Salary
Range: $73,500 – $123,500. Actual salary may vary based on location, skills, experience, and market conditions.
