Field Technical Representative

What You’ll Be Doing

Primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive technical support for customer design and system development. Key areas of responsibility are:

Demand Creation: Focus on customer presentations, semiconductor product introductions, and technical sales training for the local Arrow Electronics sales team.

Account Management: Assist with selling opportunities through a planned discovery process. Become proficient in understanding customer’s needs and how to translate those needs to Arrow requirements or opportunities.

Relationships: Stay current on product knowledge and obtain technical certifications. Attend supplier training events to keep up-to-date on the product line. Understand supplier databases and keep design registration information accurate. Display awareness and knowledge of current related technologies in the customer base, and attend training as needed.

This job profile requires participation in a sales compensation plan. A portion of OTE will be variable and tied to specific sales‑related goals set forth by Arrow.

What We’re Looking For

2–3 years of experience in a Technical Sales Representative or similar function and a 4‑year Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience in semiconductor design, electrical engineering, sales engineering, or field application engineering is preferred

French speaking is preferred

Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn





Ability to balance multiple priorities; organizational skills are key

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and enjoyment of meeting with people

Candidate must be located in Montreal, Ottawa, or Toronto to support local markets

Experience / Education
Typically requires a 4‑year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; alternatively an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.

Work Arrangement
Hybrid: 1 day in office / 4 days remote or on the road.

Annual Hiring Range / Hourly Rate
$61,300.00 – $140,250.00 (actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, or skill level; pay ratio between base pay and target incentive will be finalized at offer)
