Tiger is currently seeking experienced, full time Apprentice and Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team at our Nisku, Alberta facilities. Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Tiger’s vehicle fleet, ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and at peak performance while adhering to company and industry standards.

What will you do in this role:
Perform maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and trailers.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer's specifications.
Assist apprentices as needed with maintenance repairs to grow knowledge.
Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area and assist with general cleaning duties in a workshop environment.
Maintain a record of all work tasks on work orders in the TMT system;
Support and encourage continuous improvement in work practices;
Adhere to Tiger’s HSE policies and procedures;
Some out of hours work may be required for a call out basis;
Perform related work as required;
Completing daily job hazard assessments.
What we are looking for:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Valid drivers license, Class 1 preferred.
Current CVIP certificate would be considered an asset.
Experience with Cummins engines, hydraulic system, and Super B would be considered an asset.
Experience and considerable knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of various types of heavy equipment and other power driven equipment and tools.
Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
Skilled in the operation of a variety of tools and equipment used in the repair of trucks and heavy equipment
Capable of preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports.
Familiar with the TMT software program would be considered an asset.
Ability to analyze and repair mechanical failures.
