Personal Support Worker Instructor – Adult Continuing Education Department

Location: Brockville, Cornwall, Long Sault, Perth and Smiths Falls

TPJ4E – Health Care Support Services
TPJ4C – Health Care Cooperative Education Clinical Placement
TPJ4CC – Personal Support Worker Cooperative Education Placement

Salary: Continuing Education Rate ($48.89/hourly)

Full time Equivalent: 5 Positions Available

Employment Period: September 1, 2026 – June 25, 2027

Responsibilities
Courses will be held in the above listed locations pending sufficient enrollment. Courses will be held Monday to Friday. Teachers are required to work as part of a team to guide and further develop the PSW program. Instructors are required to deliver in-class components of the Personal Support Worker program (330 hours), evaluate progress of students, and create reports for students' performance and challenges. Instructors are required to facilitate the co‑op component of the Personal Support Worker program, including supervising students in clinical environment (80 hours) and monitor students in the co‑op environment (min 270 hours). There is potential for day and evening shifts.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse holding current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario





Hold a current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification (If no candidates with an OCT apply, other RN candidates will be considered)

Minimum of 3 years working in Health Care

Qualifications with respect to specialized subjects will be required, as per Ministry regulations
