PMO – Montreal (Office Marie‑Curie)
Full‑time, hybrid work model.
Job Summary
The PMO (Project Management Officer) will support all projects at Thales Canada, coordinating project planning, budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder communication. The role works closely with the Finance, Engineering, and senior management teams, managing multi‑project portfolios and ensuring alignment with public‑sector funding and international partner expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Support for Bids & Projects
Provide expertise and best practices to improve project performance throughout the lifecycle.
Ensure the validity of bid and project data, including oversight.
Compile and consolidate project information into a dashboard for monthly reviews.
Assist in preparing bid responses.
Support the implementation of new project activities in Canada.
Provide backup on project management tools (Primavera, Deviprop, etc.).
Track internal orders (PO IGTR), validate signatures, and manage invoicing in collaboration with Finance.
Maintain and improve fundamental offer and project management practices.
Drive continuous improvement of planning, milestone management, and quality of deliverables.
Centralize and disseminate knowledge and best‑practice recommendations.
Collect lessons‑learned and manage actions for future projects.
Support for R&T; Canada Projects
Provide operational support for cost justification and claim processes.
Coordinate collection and validation of supporting documents with Engineering and R&T; leads.
Assist in budget management, claims, and federal payment tracking.
Maintain and update R&T; dashboards (quarterly reviews).
Transversal Monitoring & Steering
Update project schedules (Primavera, MSP, Timeline Pro).
Track milestones and ensure report completeness.
Aggregate key performance indicators for the portfolio (KPI, EVM).
Organize lessons‑learned sessions and coordinate action‑follow‑up.
Implement and monitor non‑technical requirement matrices.
Align S&OP; charge needs and resources with offers and projects.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in project management or a technical discipline.
3 to 7 years of proven PMO experience managing complex projects, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or technology sectors and in an international environment.
Strong financial management, scheduling, and reporting skills (Primavera, MSP, advanced Excel).
Experience with public‑funder and R&T; projects.
Multidisciplinary coordination, interpersonal diplomacy, and strong communication skills.
Proactive, organized, and capable of working across teams.
Advanced Excel, including VBA macros, is an advantage.
Experience with Deviprop is welcomed.
Fluency in French and English (written and oral).
Preferred Qualifications
International project experience and familiarity with Thales and the aircraft ecosystem.
IPMA or PMP certification.
