Make a difference in pediatric healthcare as a Laboratory Specialist I at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). Focused on genomic diagnostics, this role combines analytical skills with creative testing practices.

In the Department of Paediatric Laboratory Medicine, you will contribute to the Division of Genome Diagnostics. Your responsibilities include conducting clinical analyses, developing new tests, and training laboratory staff. This proactive role supports SickKids' commitment to high-quality patient care and educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough analyses of clinical lab data
• Perform scheduled laboratory tests with precision
• Develop and introduce new testing methods and technologies




• Maintain accurate and complete documentation
• Participate in the education of trainees and laboratory personnel

Requirements:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field
• Experience with Molecular Genetics and Cancer Biology
• Deep understanding of NGS and genomic databases
• Proficiency in DNA and RNA variant interpretation
• High-level analytical skills and independence
