Position: Red Seal Millwright

Location: Port Alberni, BC. Permanent, full‑time, 12‑hour shift schedules.

Job Responsibilities

Perform mechanical repairs to machinery and plant support systems, including all rotating and stationary equipment.

Work with preventative maintenance programs and document accurate maintenance records.

Use a wide array of precision tools, including computerized alignment equipment.

Read and interpret machine drawings.

Key Skills

Commit to safety and support efforts to create a culture of safety excellence.

Communicate effectively with other departments.

Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Work within and create a safe and healthy work environment.

Function as a team player or work independently.

Possess computer skills and assets.

Respond to production calls during downtime.





Communicate updates to supervisor to maintain goals.

Required Professional Experience / Qualifications

Red Seal certification.

3 to 5 years of experience in a related industrial environment.

Uncompromising approach to safety.

Ability to work in a team or independently.

Availability for 12‑hour operational shift schedules.

Salary rate: $48.66 per hour as per the Collective Agreement.
