Fraser Health Authority (FHA) and the Mental Health & Substance Use Program are seeking a psychiatrist to provide inpatient and community psychiatry services across Chilliwack General Hospital and the communities of Chilliwack, Agassiz, and Hope. The role focuses on adult psychiatry.

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality care to general psychiatric patients as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, provide consultations, and coordinate family meetings.

Participate in case conferences, facilitate discharge planning, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.

Support continuity of care by fostering positive relationships with all patient‑care stakeholders.





Take part in ECT services and participate in on‑call rotations.

Education and Training

Contribute to the medical education program for UBC undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.

Upon receiving a CPSBC licence, arrangements will be made to apply for a clinical appointment with the Department of Psychiatry, UBC.

Licensing and Eligibility

Required CPSBC licence for practice in British Columbia.

International Medical Graduates may qualify through updated eligibility bylaws; see CPSBC policy.
