Indigenous Language and International Languages Teacher
Position available for the 2026/2027 school year, effective September 8, 2026 and concluding on or about June 25, 2027. Candidates will be contacted as vacancies arise. The work schedule and salary depend on the type of program taught and the OCT status of the applicant.
Work Schedule & Salary
- Work schedule: 3.7 hours per week for 30 weeks, from September 8, 2026 to June 25, 2027.
- Salary: $65.34 per hour for OCT qualified teachers.
- Credit program applicants must be OCT qualified.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and coordinate a language program that reflects current teaching practices.
- Ensure the safety and well‑being of students.
- Develop and maintain an equitable and inclusive learning workplace.
- Communicate student progress to administrators, parents, and students.
- Encourage parent involvement in student learning at home and at school.
- Supervise students as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- Preferable fluency in German, including passing a conversational fluency test with community partners.
- Teaching experience, preferably in language instruction.
- Ontario College of Teachers certification for credit courses.
- Qualifications in both Intermediate and/or Senior grades.
