Overview

We are assisting a reputable client in the geoscience industry with the search for a Senior Front End Developer.

Location: Calgary, AB – Hybrid (2 days in the office)

Base pay range: CA$140,000.00/yr - CA$150,000.00/yr

Role summary: You will work on a cloud-based geoscience auto modeling application that uses advanced machine learning to help users extract insights from drilling data quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop responsive, high-performance UIs using React and TypeScript.
- Integrate and extend 3D visualizations for large geoscience datasets.
- Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to deliver user-centric features.
- Architect scalable, maintainable frontend codebases.
- Optimize rendering performance and overall user experience.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold development best practices.
- Plan and manage frontend release cycles, ensuring quality and compliance.




- Contribute to software design decisions and technical strategy.
- Lead small projects and support cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of skilled software development experience, with a focus on frontend web development.
- Proven experience maintaining production-ready applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Assets

- Experience with Flask or FastAPI.
- Experience building frontend applications with Three.js or other 3D web rendering tools.
