Play a pivotal role in enhancing student participation as an Occupational Therapist. Collaborate with educators and support staff to provide critical assessment and intervention services.
This role supports pre-school to Grade 12 students with diverse needs and encourages their independence and engagement in school activities. You’ll assess various needs, provide tailored interventions, and work closely with families while supervising therapeutic assistants for effective programming. The focus will remain on promoting a respectful, inclusive workplace for every student.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess student needs to inform interventions
• Develop and review intervention strategies
• Provide guidance and oversight to assistants
• Work with teams to foster inclusive practices
• Liaise with external partners for support services
Requirements:
• Master’s in occupational therapy required
• 3+ years of pediatric experience is preferred
• Current registration in occupational therapy
• In-depth understanding of assistive devices
• Strong communication and leadership aptitude
