Role Summary
The Electrical Project Manager leads the delivery of electrical construction projects from turnover through close‑out. The role supports clients, field teams, and internal partners to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and on budget. Success in this role means predictable project outcomes, strong financial performance, and consistent alignment with Modern Niagara’s standards and processes. This project will be based full time in Petawawa starting in 2027.

Deliver safe, on‑time, and on‑budget electrical projects using Modern Niagara processes

Strengthen client, field, and subcontractor relationships through clear communication and proactive issue resolution

Drive project performance by managing risk, cost, schedule, and quality outcomes

Support operational and financial goals through accurate forecasting and cost control

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in estimating turnover and preconstruction meetings as required

Manage labour on assigned projects with direction from the Electrical Operations Manager

Complete monthly financial forecasts and attend Project Status Review (PSR) meetings

Review contracts to ensure scope alignment, productivity, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence

Manage project budgets, labour, purchasing, administration, and cost control

Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors to support project delivery

Price and manage change orders using the Accubid database

Participate in client and construction meetings and communicate requirements to internal teams and subcontractors





Establish and maintain solid relationships with clients, general contractors, and project partners

Promote Modern Niagara’s services to support the full building lifecycle

Support QA/QC and health and safety standards on all projects

Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning and industry engagement

Must Haves

Post‑secondary education in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Significant project management experience within the construction industry

Ability to obtain Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance

Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, and contract administration

Ability to interpret construction drawings, site plans, and specifications

Experience with project or construction management software (e.g., "Procore")

Strong communication skills with the ability to build productive working relationships at all levels

Ability to work autonomously with travel to project sites as required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

General understanding of QA/QC and health and safety practices

Ability and willingness to work on‑site in Petawawa on a full‑time basis for project needs

Eligibility to obtain Government of Canada security clearance. This requirement is tied to project‑specific access

Nice to Haves

Prior field experience within the construction industry





Experience mentoring or supporting the development of team members

Experience using Accubid for estimating or change management

Compensation & Benefits
This is a current position. Expected annual compensation: $85,000 - $110,000.
