Position Maintenance Mechanic - rotating shifts - Mississauga

Education Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR Licensed Millwright OR equivalent hands-on experience
5+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing setting
Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience using wrenches, hammers, drills, and other tools
Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to resolve machine issues
Duties / Responsibilities SHIFT ROTATION: Days (2 weeks), Afternoons (2 weeks), Nights (2 weeks)
Serve as a key technical maintenance resource for the manufacturing operation,
focusing on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for electronic/mechanical equipment issues
Work with a continuous improvement mindset to reduce costs, breakdowns, and wastage
Provide expertise and knowledge to Operators, Lead Hands, Supervisors, and Managers as needed
Maintain adherence to GMP/AIB, Health and Safety standards, and company regulations
Assemble and install machines; test to ensure they are functioning correctly
Manage the layout and placement of equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime
Perform inspections and lock-out procedures as required
