Overview
The Transport Refrigeration Technician is responsible for diagnostics, repair, installation, and maintenance of refrigeration systems on trucks, trailers, and containers. This is a hands‑on, physically demanding role suited for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy troubleshooting and working in the field.

Responsibilities

Truck/trailer refrigeration units (reefers)

HVAC and AC systems

Container refrigeration units and gensets

Perform installations of reefer units

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues

Ensure all work meets company standards

Provide strong customer service on-site

Participate in on‑call rotation (mobile techs)

Qualifications





Open to multiple Red Seal trades OR relevant experience, including: Transport Refrigeration (Reefer) Technician (no formal Red Seal required if experienced)

Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal

Automotive Service Technician Red Seal

Diesel Engine Technician Red Seal

Commercial Transport Technician Red Seal

Note: Robust mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability can outweigh exact trade background.

Salary/Rate Range: $42.04/hr – $46.49/hr + $5.03/hr pension (typical starting level for Red Seal)
