What is the Chance?
Aecon Civil continues to play a key role in building and enhancing infrastructure across Canada, the U.S., and internationally. The Roadways Coordinator will support key coordination tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring smooth communication across the project team for roadway & streetscaping works.
Your Role
Plan and implement an engineering and construction program, including defining the project plan, activities, milestones, and labour requirements.
Develop and maintain the project schedule and budget, controlling spending.
Read and understand the project contract.
Provide status reports on project milestones and schedule adjustments.
Identify changes to the project schedule and assess their impacts.
Identify project labour requirements and coordinate with appropriate trades and subcontractors.
Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables (e.g., design documents, as-built drawings).
Review project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Coordinate activities related to technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Evaluate and recommend design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
Interface with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.
Provide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.
Forecast and track change orders and scope changes.
Assist and monitor safety programs and statistics as required.
Write and review purchase specifications and subcontract documents.
Participate in quality assurance, understanding and implementing policies and procedures.
Provide estimating and project management back‑up as required.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Develop and write reports and business correspondence.
What You Bring To The Team
Post‑secondary education in a construction or engineering discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and prior experience.
3–5+ years of experience in project engineering or heavy construction, preferably in roadworks or highway construction.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Proficiency in construction industry software such as Primavera Scheduling, AutoCAD, etc.
On‑site presence five days per week.
Pay Range
$60,000 – $95,000, determined by location, education, experience, skills, and job conditions.
