Elevate surgical care as an RN First Assistant, collaborating with the OR team. Assist in regional anesthesia and enhance patient outcomes through effective perioperative strategies.
This position requires critical thinking and evidence-based practice within the surgical environment. The RN First Assistant will actively participate in surgeries, assist with circulating duties, and advocate for patients and their families. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a protected and efficient perioperative experience, working closely with the team to support all stages of the process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement nursing processes for patient assessment
• Assist with regional anesthesia and sedation management
• Foster teamwork and conflict resolution skills
• Act as a liaison between patients and family
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and patients
Requirements:
• CNO License and B.Sc.N required
• 5 years’ experience in the operating room
• 2 years of orthopaedic O.R. experience
• Completion of recognized RNFA Program
• Mandatory BCLS/ACLS certifications
