Job Purpose
Establish production standards using a systematic scientific analysis approach during the commissioning of new machines, recent molds, and new robots, with the goal of meeting engineering specifications and production requirements. The technician actively participates in maintaining calibration processes for machines, automation systems, and molds and takes part in process improvement projects aimed at optimizing equipment performance and yields.

Key Responsibility
Analyze manufacturing processes in order to increase productivity and implement selected solutions.

Tasks

Develop and implement process standards according to production and maintenance requirements;

Measure performance gaps and systematically identify root causes (material, mold, machine, automation, etc.) based on operational objectives;

Work with multidisciplinary teams (R&D;, maintenance, quality, production, etc.) to establish solutions that eliminate gaps and support selected actions;

Write reports related to trials and observed facts;

Propose and implement improvements to injection molding and/or automation standards while identifying impacts on the entire process;

Lead trials of new products or existing products in a structured manner and complete the appropriate documentation;

Act as a liaison between engineering and production during the transfer of newly developed products to optimize processes;





Monitor new developments in injection molding and/or automation to keep process efficiency improvement practices up to date;

Perform any other related tasks that contribute to the proper functioning of the department;

Participate in the selection of new equipment and machinery;

Continuously ensure compliance with standards by conducting conformity audits and communicating results to all process stakeholders;

Contribute to clear, effective, and rigorous communication with all internal and external customers and suppliers;

Act as an active member of a self‑organized team.

Perform work safely in accordance with company standards;

Participate in identifying risks inherent to the job;

Contribute to improving and maintaining C‑TPAT, SQF/HACCP, and ISO procedures and standards;

Knowledge of C‑TPAT, SQF/HACCP, and ISO standards.

Minimum Qualifications

College diploma (DEC) in plastics processing or instrumentation and control, or equivalent training/experience.

Professional Experience – Nature and Duration

Minimum of 5 years of process‑related experience in the field.

Additional Qualifications

Experience in injection molding (asset);

Expertise in PLC programming;

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software;

Functional English;

Ability to read blueprints and specifications;

Knowledge of IFS and InTouch software (asset);

Strong communication skills.
