Job Overview
Auto 11/12 and Power Tech 9/10. Full‑time, temporary (1‑year contract which may be reposted for the 27/28 school year). Effective September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. This position works out of the shops located at Columneetza Junior Secondary and will teach students from both Columneetza and Lake City Secondary.

Salary
The salary is based on the current salary grid and upon verification of your BC TQS and years of service from previous employers. The current salary range is $67, 205.00 to $123, 266.00 per annum, paid over 10 months.

Special Qualifications Required

Training and/or experience teaching Auto and Power Tech at the secondary level

Valid BC Teaching Certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch

Bachelor of Education in Trades Technology

We commit to supporting new teachers (those with 0–2 years of experience) through a structured mentorship program.



Teachers with more than 2 years of experience qualify for mentorship based on the provisions within our collective agreement.

Those interested in leadership development can join a leadership series throughout the school year, meeting with the group in person at least three times. A structured series is facilitated by our Superintendent of Schools.

Career development beyond the collective agreement is provided. The District contracts with educational leaders; teachers may attend Professional Development Days up to 2 days earlier, receiving hands‑on coaching in the classroom and in sessions.

Relocation allowance may be offered with this position.
