- 5-10+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 75-80% of recent work focused on backend development
- Strong hands-on experience building NET Core backend services and RESTful APIs including designing applications from scratch
- Proven experience participating in the full SDLC design development testing deployment and maintenance for backend systems
- Experience with authentication and authorization including implementation of secure API endpoints eg token based auth OAuthOIDC rolepermission models
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores eg SQL Server PostgreSQL MongoDB Cosmos DB or similar including schema design performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience with message queuing technologies such as Kafka RabbitMQ or similar for asynchronous and eventdriven architectures
- Robust background in automated testing including Unit testing Integration testing and understanding and application of TDD practices
- Security testing experience mandatory including securing APIs input validation handling sensitive data and addressing common vulnerabilities eg OWASP Top 10
