Aviva Canada is looking for an Electrical Fire Investigation Engineer to join our forensic engineering team. Deliver expert investigations into electrical fire causes and provide technical insights.
You will play a crucial role in the claims and risk management sector by performing site inspections, analyzing evidence, and producing comprehensive reports. Your expertise in fire dynamics and forensic methodology will aid in accurately identifying fire origins. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you'll tackle complex loss situations to align engineering strategies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate electrical fires and gather evidence at the site
• Apply fire investigation methodology to determine causes




• Guide technical aspects of investigations with external teams
• Provide engineering opinions to stakeholders effectively
• Document findings and prepare reports for non-technical audiences
Requirements:
• Degree in engineering (Electrical preferred)
• 8–10 years experience in forensic engineering
• Licensed Skilled Engineer in Ontario
• Solid report writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis
