Our client is seeking a Interim Director, Information Technology (10+ years) to assess and modernize infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations environments

Join a visual effects organization supporting major film, television, and streaming productions during a critical technology transformation period. This role will lead rapid assessment and direction-setting across infrastructure, AWS, cybersecurity, rendering performance, production technology, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The mandate focuses on identifying immediate operational and security risks, establishing a practical roadmap, and initiating high-priority transformation activities. The position offers direct exposure to executive leadership, production operations, and cloud modernization initiatives within a compute-intensive environment.

3-6 month Contract with possibility of conversion, Vancouver, Working Hours: PST

Must Haves

- 10+ years in senior IT leadership across infrastructure , cloud , cybersecurity , and business applications
- Demonstrated success modernizing aging technology environments and developing technology transformation roadmaps
- Experience evaluating data-centre , on-premises ,



and public-cloud operating models including AWS
- Background with cloud governance , security , cost control , backup , and disaster recovery

Nice to Have

- Experience within visual effects, animation, gaming, post-production, media, or another compute-intensive environment
- Familiarity with GPU-intensive workloads, render farms, and high-performance storage
- Experience supporting hybrid Linux and Windows environments
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience developing AI and automation strategies

Responsibilities

- Assess the current technology workplace across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, production systems, and business applications
- Evaluate future data-centre, infrastructure, and cloud operating models ahead of data-centre lease expiry
- Review AWS render-cloud initiatives and external consultant activities
- Identify production technology bottlenecks affecting rendering, storage, networking, and GPU performance
- Assess cybersecurity controls, client audit readiness, and security governance practices
- Review Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ownership, support, and integration gaps
- Develop prioritized technology, cybersecurity, and operating model recommendations for executive leadership
