On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager: Cloud & SaaS Modernization to join our Client’s team on a 1-Year Term basis. This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Vancouver, BC .

Summary of the Role

Our Client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to provide flexible project leadership across a portfolio of strategic technology initiatives. Rather than supporting a single project, this role will be deployed across multiple concurrent initiatives, helping project teams navigate critical milestones, manage delivery risks, and maintain project momentum. The portfolio primarily consists of legacy application modernization, cloud migration, and SaaS implementation projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Provide project leadership across multiple concurrent technology initiatives.
- Quickly integrate into projects already underway, assuming responsibility for critical workstreams, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Support legacy application modernization, cloud migration, and SaaS implementation projects.
- Partner with Project Managers, technical leads, business stakeholders, and vendors to strengthen project delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including solution architects, integration specialists, data governance, technical resources, and business stakeholders.
- Monitor project health, manage risks and issues, and maintain delivery momentum.
- Balance competing priorities while providing targeted project leadership where needed.
- Prepare project status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership.

Core Requirements

- Demonstrated experience delivering legacy system modernization, cloud migration, and SaaS implementation projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or workstreams in complex enterprise environments.




- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including solution architects, integration specialists, data governance, business stakeholders, and vendors.
- Strong project governance, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder management experience.
- Ability to quickly become effective on projects already in progress and deliver results with minimal onboarding.

Desired Skills & Experience

- Experience supporting enterprise application modernization initiatives.
- Background working within Public Sector or higher education organizations.
- Experience delivering cloud transformation and digital modernization programs.
- Familiarity with hybrid Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience working within complex enterprise technology environments.

Terms

This is a 1-Year Term opportunity based in Vancouver, BC . The position follows a Hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite attendance two days per week and one additional Friday every other week . A reference check is required as part of the hiring process.
