Job Description

Home child care provider for a family in Toronto, Ontario. The position is permanent, full-time (30-40 hours per week), and requires on-site work at the employer’s home.

Responsibilities

- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
- Supervise and care for children
- Tend to the emotional well-being of children

Qualifications

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience in child care is an asset
- Criminal record check required




- Public transportation available
- Ability to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- Personal suitability: client focus, initiative, judgement, reliability, time management, patience, honesty
