10+ years experience leading total rewards and employee relations matters in a multi-location organization Strong working knowledge of compensation, benefits, leaves of absence management, investigations, retirement processes, and employment standards Confidence managing sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery Strong judgement, discretion, and communication skills CPHR, or other HR-designation equivalents Experience with Ceridian Dayforce A Little More About the Role Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will be responsible for the design, oversight, and day-to-day delivery of ISL’s total rewards offerings, including compensation, benefits, wellbeing, retirement, and leaves of absence programs. You will also play a key role in navigating sensitive employee matters such as disability management, workplace investigations, and employee transitions, all the while applying sound judgment, discretion, and consistency. As ISL continues to evolve, this position ensures that rewards, time-off programs, and employee transitions are administered fairly, aligned with organizational values, and supportive of both business objectives and employee experience. At a glance, you will be responsible for the following: Leading ISL’s total rewards framework, including compensation, benefits, wellbeing, vacation, retirement, and leaves of absence programs Managing day-to-day leave administration (short-term, long-term disability, retirements, and parental and personal leaves of absence)
Leading the development and ongoing management of ISL’s retirement and transition practices Handling complex benefits inquiries and confidential employee concerns with compassion and discretion Conducting investigations and manage terminations in alignment with policy, legislation, and ISL values Leading annual compensation and incentive review processes Serving as the primary HR liaison with Accounting for payroll-related matters Ensuring rewards and employee relations practices are consistent, compliant, and defensible Developing tools and guidance to support leaders in managing performance and other people related matters effectively Analyzing employee data to identify trends and continuously improve programs and processes What ISL Offers We value you for your contributions and want to ensure that your personal success is intertwined with your professional success.
