What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Senior Technical UI Artist to join our team. You will set the standard for building fundamental UI systems and own the implementation of key UI materials, working closely with designers, artists, producers, programmers, and more.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with UI artists and their teams to establish best practices and optimal workflows.
Communicate and work closely with UI programmers to develop new engine features.
Analyze memory and performance throughout a project’s development.
Create productive, user-friendly shaders for use in the game.
Analyze and communicate technical challenges for UI art and UX design concepts.
Research and develop prototypes for art pipelines and help bring colleagues’ ideas to life.
Qualifications
6+ years of industry experience.
Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, specifically the material editor and UMG.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to deliver memory-efficient, performant, shippable UI content/systems.
Creative problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges.
Self-direction and autonomy when required.
Nice-to-Haves
Practical knowledge of HLSL or GLSL.
Practical knowledge of Python scripting or another programming language.
Experience with a 3D modeling application and an image editor.
Experience with current-generation platforms (Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5).
Experience with other engines (Unity or similar).
Strong balance between creative/visual aesthetics and technical skills.
